WELSH - The Welsh Greyhounds opened their season in fine fashion with a convincing 41-16 win over class 4-A Rayne Friday night. It doesn’t get any easier this week, as the Hounds play a second team that was a semifinalist last season. The Kaplan Pirates will be the opponent this week, and like Rayne, they were stopped just one game short of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome last year.
