WELSH HIGH SCHOOL CATCHER
Welsh catcher Austyn Benoit is this week’s JDN Athlete of the Week after a phenomenal showing in the Class 2A State Championship Baseball Game last Saturday. The junior backstop went 2-for-3 and launched a 2-run homer in the contest. He was also recently named First Team catcher on the 6-2A All-District Squad.
