CROWLEY – The Crowley Gents were four yards away from a tie ballgame midway through the fourth quarter Friday against district and parish rival Iota.
At that point, on a second-and-goal from the four-yard line, the Gents ran a speed sweep with Obadiah Butler.
That wasn’t surprising: you give the ball to your best back and one of fastest guys on the field and let him do his thing.
