LACASSINE — A meeting to bring awareness to Jeff Davis Parish residents of risks associated with proposed underground storage of concentrated carbon dioxide in Southwest Louisiana is scheduled for Thursday.
The Jeff Davis Parish Council on Aging held their annual Crew de Wise Mardi Gras celebration Friday at the Lacassine Community Center. Revelers enjoyed jambalaya, music by The Backdoor Band and Cajun dancing in festive Mardi Gras outfits.
