ART IN THE PARK
Vendors lined Lake Arthur Park during Saturday’s Art in the Park event, where more than 40 booths offered handmade goods, food and specialty items along the lakefront. John Johnson also performed throughout the day as visitors shopped, relaxed and sampled dishes from cook-off competitors, including jambalaya, pastalaya and pork tongue in gravy under the pavilion. Locals and visitors alike browsed booths, enjoyed favorites like crab bomb sandwiches and Cajun egg rolls, and picked up new artwork during the free annual event held beneath the park’s cooling oak trees.
