IOTA - As a freshman starter, Nicholas Duplechain has held his own with the Iota Bulldogs early in the season.
On Thursday, however, Duplechain proved he is far from the average rookie.
In the opening game of the Eunice High Tournament, Duplechain got it done at the plate and on the mound in helping the Bulldogs, the 2018 Class 3A state runner-up, to a 9-3 victory over the Beau Chene Gators.
