LOREAUVILLE - The Lake Arthur Lady Tigers put up a valiant fight, but in the end, No. 6 seed Loreauville was too much in a Class 2A bi-district playoff contest Friday.
The No. 27-seeded Lady Tigers took an early 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning and had an 8-5 advantage in the top of the second.
But Loreauville exploded for 17 runs over the next three frames and eliminated Lake Arthur, 22-8.
