The Lacassine Lady Cardinals headline a trio of Jeff Davis Parish softball teams that have extended their seasons by at least one game by earning a spot in the LHSAA playoffs.
The brackets were released Wednesday afternoonand the Lady Cardinals earned the No. 16 seed in the Class B playoffs while Lake Arthur and Welsh each earned spots in the Class 2A brackets at No. 27 and No. 29, respectively.
