Lacassine jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the fourth inning, but Hathaway would score five runs in the bottom of the fourth to make it an 8-6 game. Both teams would score two more runs as the Cardinals would take a 10-8 district win. In the first inning, Lacassine would bat eight and get three singles, a double and a walk to leave the bases loaded. The Cardinals took a 2-0 lead as Drayden Miller and Max Webb reached home plate. Hathaway would bat four with a single and three groundouts. In the second inning, Lacassine would bat seven with a triple, a single and two walks. The Cardinals would again leave the bases loaded and took a 3-0 lead as Ben Ruthledge scored. The Hornets would go out in order with a strikeout, groundout and fly out.
