FRANKLINTON — The Jennings High Bulldogs took a hard hit in the 2025 regional competition of the Division II non-select playoff round, as the Franklinton High Demons shattered their hopes of advancing to the quarterfinals. The No. 8-ranked Demons ended the No. 9-ranked Bulldogs’ season with a 40-14 win.
LOGANSPORT — The distance was just one short yard away from the goal line. That’s where the Welsh Greyhounds were stopped on downs midway through the second stanza. Those lost points were ultimately the difference in the contest, as the Hounds dropped a hardfought 34-31 decision to the Logansport Tigers in the regional round of the Division IV nonselect playoffs. The Tigers advance to face Jeanerette now in the quarterfinals, while the Greyhounds conclude their season with a 5-7 overall mark.
MARINGOUIN — The Elton High Indians finished their season on the road as they traveled to Maringouin to battle the North Iberville High Bears in the 2025 regional round of the Division IV non-select playoffs. The No. 11 seed Indians gave chase to the No. 6 seed Bears but came up short with a final score of 36-26.
