WAR 10u earns runner-up finish

Former Lady Dog only second in history to play at next level

WELSH — Coming off of a quarterfinal appearance in 2024, the Welsh Greyhounds are seeking another good campaign in 2025. The Hounds again have a tough slate in 2025, with multiple teams from higher divisions on their schedule. Welsh will kick-off the preseason with a scrimmage against East Beauregard on Aug. 22 before playing host to a jamboree at Greyhound Stadium. Lake Arthur will take on Grand Lake, while the Hounds will do battle against the St. Louis Saints.

The WAR 11u Red squad recently played their Perfect Game World Series and turned in a runnerup performance in their competition. WAR won over 40 games this season and earned a host of rings throughout their summer of baseball.

Venable selected to participate in softball trip to Australia

Jeff Davis 4-H member Gus Doise, representing Team Louisiana, celebrates placing 10th in Top 10 Overall in Advanced Shotgun and eighth in Sporting Clay at the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championship in Grand Island, Neb. In Advanced Shotgun, Team Louisiana placed third overall.
