LAKE ARTHUR — The Lake Arthur Tigers are coming off a 2024 season in which they reached the bi-district round of the playoffs. After losing eight seniors to graduation, the Tigers return plenty of star power in 2025 to make another run at the postseason.

Football season has returned and the Jennings Parks and Recreation Department is now holding registrations for 5- and 6-year-old boys flag football and 7-12-yearold youth pee wee football. The deadline to register will be Aug. 8 for both leagues.
ELTON — The Elton Indians have seen their return to winning on the gridiron over the last few seasons after having the program shut down for a season back in 2020. Elton has slowly climbed back into the perennial power they once were over the past few seasons thanks to a host of excellent skill players.

EUNICE — LSU and LSU Shreveport, two National Champion teams with historic seasons in 2025, littered the Louisiana Sports Writers’ Association (LSWA) All-Louisiana Baseball team, the organization announced on Friday. The Tigers and Pilots were the recipients of all major awards while placing a combined 21 selections on the two teams and honorable mention list.
