EUNICE — LSU and LSU Shreveport, two National Champion teams with historic seasons in 2025, littered the Louisiana Sports Writers’ Association (LSWA) All-Louisiana Baseball team, the organization announced on Friday. The Tigers and Pilots were the recipients of all major awards while placing a combined 21 selections on the two teams and honorable mention list.

WELSH — Coming off of a quarterfinal appearance in 2024, the Welsh Greyhounds are seeking another good campaign in 2025. The Hounds again have a tough slate in 2025, with multiple teams from higher divisions on their schedule. Welsh will kick-off the preseason with a scrimmage against East Beauregard on Aug. 22 before playing host to a jamboree at Greyhound Stadium. Lake Arthur will take on Grand Lake, while the Hounds will do battle against the St. Louis Saints.

The WAR 11u Red squad recently played their Perfect Game World Series and turned in a runnerup performance in their competition. WAR won over 40 games this season and earned a host of rings throughout their summer of baseball.
