After Hurricane Katrina, Louisiana elayed paying its debts for improvements to the federal flood protection system stretching across five parishes in the New Orleans area. The massive bill totaling as much as $3 billion is coming due, leaving the state sifting through unpleasant financing scenarios.

Iwas once fired by an employer because they did not like the way that I tweeted. Too often adults see the failings of our youth before recognizing their successes. Adults often discount the good today’s youth contribute to society.

What, pray tell, is COVID parenting? I need to know because over the past few months, several journalists have asked if I have any COVIDparenting suggestions. I went online and, sure enough, a fair number of so-called “parenting experts” are advising parents on how to “survive” shut-downs, as if having children in the home as opposed to attending school is life-threatening. Since when does day-to-day of living with children require a unique set of parenting skills?
