James O. Hall Post 19 receives awards

During the American Legion Department of Louisiana Convention held at the Best Western Convention Center in Alexandria from June 8-11, Commission on Media and Communications Chairman Lynette Blanchard (left) and Department (state-level) Commander Allen Dunn (right) presented the Department’s Outstanding Post Scrapbook Award (Posts with membership under 300 members) to James O. Hall Post 19 in Jennings. Post 19 also received the MultiMedia Award for articles, stories and other Legion associated works approved by the National American Legion headquarters and submitted to national publications. Accepting the awards on behalf of Post 19 was past Post 19 Commander Glenn McFarlain (center). McFarlain expressed appreciation, on behalf of his Post, to the staff of the Jennings Daily News for the outstanding support the paper provides to the American Legion and to veterans throughout Jefferson Davis Parish.
