LAKE ARTHUR – The Lake Arthur Tigers jumped out to a big lead over the Midland Rebels, and used a dominant fourth quarter to claim a 65-42 victory at “Nookie” Moore Gymnasium Monday night. Sophomore Ray Levi had a huge night for the Tigers, as he led all scorers with 24 points on the evening. The big moment of the contest came at the end of the fourth quarter when Tiger Shawn Fruge banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to put the exclamation point on Lake Arthur’s win.
LAKE ARTHUR – The Lake Arthur Lady Tigers used a huge second half and a big fourth quarter from senior Darrah Broussard to fend off a feisty Midland Lady Rebels squad by a final of 57-38 at “Nookie” Moore Gymnasium Monday night. Leading 37-30 heading into the fourth quarter of play, Darrah Broussard scored all 20 of the Lady Tigers’ fourth quarter points to help moved her squad to the 19-point win over Midland. With the victory, Lake Arthur moves their record to 4-2 on the season, while the Lady Rebels dropped to 8-2.
