Dear Doctors: What can I do to protect my baby from RSV? What are the symptoms? People are talking about a “ tripledemic,” and it has my husband and me worried. We’re both vaccinated for the flu and COVID- 19, and we are being super careful when we’re out and about. What else can we do?
During the November meeting of Knights of Columbus (KC) Council 2012 from Our Lady Help of Christians (OLHC) Parish in Jennings, Grand Knight Frank Angelle (left) recognized Donald Kratzer (right) as the council’s Knight of the Month for October 2022. Donald has been a member of the Council since April 2001, and is a 4th Degree Knight. Donald has participated in all of the council’s fundraising and service-related activities conducted since his initiation, including the extremely successful 2021 Barbecue Fundraiser, where proceeds helped to fund the council’s many benevolent works. Donald has taken part in the collection of money for the annual Tootsie Roll Drive to benefit the Jeff Davis Parish Special Olympics and other programs that aid and assist God’s Special Angels. For the last 18 years, he has spearheaded the efforts for this project and has done an exemplary job. This past October, under Donald’s great leadership, the council raised $1,765, making this year’s effort a very successful event. Donald has prepared the meal prior to the monthly KC meetings on many occasions and he always does a great job. He also serves on OLHC Parish‘s Social Committee. When the Social Committee spearheaded such events as picnics, barbecues, luncheons, street dances, hayrides and coffee and donut socials for the OLHC Parish community, Donald has usually been there in the thick of things, doing whatever was necessary to make those events successful. Donald has held important leadership roles in the Jennings Lions Club and the Jennings High Quarterback Club. He has truly proven to be a credit and an asset to Our Lady Help of Christians’ Catholic Church, Jeff Davis Parish, the City of Jennings and the Knights of Columbus.
