Calendar Guidelines Items for Community Calendar must be submitted during regular weekday business hours at least two weeks prior to the day of the event. Events run in the order of their posted dates and ONLY AS SPACE ALLOWS. Events more than two weeks away may not run until closer to the event. New teacher stipend awarded
The Jeff Davis Alpha Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Teacher Organization presented its annual $50 stipend to first-year teacher Sarah LeFleur of Elton Elementary School.
Jennings Rotary awards graduates
Jennings Rotary Club President Cynthia Hoffpauir presented two Jennings High School graduates each with a $500 scholarship to continue their education at SOWELA Technical Community College Jennings Campus. The recipients were Ayriahnna Keiser and Kaleb Touchet.
