The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office will host a Louisiana Hunter Education Class on Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday, Sept. 26, providing area residents with an opportunity to obtain the knowledge and certification needed to hunt safely and responsibly.
ACADIA PARISH — Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two men wanted in connection with a home invasion investigation. According to the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, detectives are seeking 40-year-old Zerick Shephard and 47-yearold Scott Vincent. Both men are wanted for home invasion. Authorities describe Shephard as a Black male, approximately 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing about 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was listed as 703 Martin Luther King St. in Welsh. Vincent is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. His last known address was listed as 111 Gerald Ct. in Evangeline. Anyone who has information about the whereabouts of either suspect is urged to contact Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish at 337-789-TIPS or submit a tip through the P3 app. Officials say callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest. “Be the difference,” AP Sheriff K.P. Gibson urged. Authorities remind the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
