Area youth received vital information on preventing alcohol and drug addiction this week. Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury heard updates from District Attorney Lauren Heinen on the jointcoalition drug prevention program introduced in parish schools last year and the continued program this year. The program includes multiple presentations by Speak Sobriety Founder Stephen Hill. Heinen said the program is filling an educational gap that previously existed.
