Jennings trailed 5-4 going into the bottom of the 5th when Eunice scored seven runs to take a 12-5 lead. Jennings would score three more runs in their 12-7 loss to a good No. 5 ranked Eunice team.

WESTLAKE — The Jennings Bulldogs went on the road Saturday and destroyed the Westlake Rams in the opener of their 4-3A two-game series by a final of 17-3. The Dogs pounded out 17 hits in the five inning contest that was called due to the 10-run rule, and used good pitching performances from Clay Broussard and Seth Benoit to lock up their sixth district win of the season. Jennings improved to 12-12 overall, 6-3 in 4-3A play and continue to rise in the LHSAA power ratings by leaping to No.7 in 3A. The Dogs wrapped up league play Monday when they welcomed the Rams to Danny Reed Field for the district finale.

When the Lake Arthur Lady Tigers had an earlier game with St. Louis suspended, they trailed 14-3 going into the fifth inning. When the game was resumed on Thursday afternoon, the Lady Tigers scored 18 unanswered runs to come back and claim a 21-14 victory. Lake Arthur scored 8 runs in the bottom of the fifth and threw up 10 more in the bottom of the sixth. The Lady Tigers held St. Louis scoreless over the final three frames of the contest.
Two days after knocking off the South Beauregard Golden Knights on their home field, the Jennings Diamond Dogs had their six game winning streak snapped in the return trip by the Knights. South Beauregard clipped the Bulldogs by a final of 11-3 at Danny Reed Field on Thursday night behind a strong pitching performance by Jace Duhon. Jennings was held to six hits, and the Golden Knights scored in every inning but the third and fourth to claim the win. Jennings falls to 11-12 overall, 5-3 in district 4-3A play. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs still currently sit at No. 8 in the latest Class 3A power ratings. The Dogs traveled to Westlake on Saturday to face the Rams in a big 4-3A showdown. Jennings will then host the Rams at Danny Reed Field on Tuesday in the second leg of district play.
