Following another big win over the Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazers a week ago, the Jennings Bulldogs come into their season finale with the St. Louis Saints riding a fivegame winning streak. On top of the streak, the No.8ranked Bulldogs have won seven of their last eight contests to allow them to climb into the Top-10 in the latest Division II non-select power ratings. The Dogs are sitting at 7-2 overall, 4-1 in league play, while the Saints match-up with the Dogs’ identical record. The Bulldogs come into the contest firing on all cylinders, especially since improving throughout the season on the offensive end of things.
WELSH — The Welsh Greyhounds will be the prohibitive underdog Thursday night when they square off against the Notre Dame Pioneers in the battle for the championship of District 5-2A. Welsh has never been the favorite against the Pioneers and this year will be no different. The Greyhounds dropped their first two games of the season and since have reeled off seven consecutive wins to carry a 7-2 record into the league clash.

Junior quarterback Dane Iguess enjoyed a great evening, as he tossed four touchdown passes in the win. With the District 5-2A win, the Hounds move to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in league play.

WELSH — The Welsh Greyhoundsareridingasixgame winning streak heading into this week’s district matchup with the Vinton Lions. Welsh dropped the first two games of the season, but have come out on top since then. The Lions are heading in the opposite direction, as they have a 1-7 season record and no district wins.
