WELSH — It’s Homecoming week at Welsh High and it comes with all the fears that football coaches feel concerning their players. It’s impossible to deny the kids some of the activities that go along with Homecoming, such as toilet-papering homes. But every coach worries that some may go too far with pranks that can lead them into trouble. To top it off, the Greyhounds will be facing the resurgent Lake Arthur Tigers in a battle of the only two public schools in District 6-2A. The Tigers will enter the battle with a 5-3 overall mark, while the Hounds sport a 4-4 record, having lost to Lafayette Christian and Lafayette Renaissance in the last two contests.

The Hounds could never get anything going offensively in the battle, and the defense could not contain the speed of the Knights.
