WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Rain is again affecting play at Wimbledon on Day 3 of the grasscourt tournament, and two environmental activists halted one match as well.
CROWLEY — The Crowley Millers finally got the district win in which they toppled the St. Landry Indians by a final of 6-2. The Millers had fallen to the Indians three straight times, but the streak ended Tuesday night. John Mason Futch set the table on the mound by earning a win on the mound. The Jennings High right-hander went 6.1 and allowed only a pair of runs to the Indians. The Millers pounded out five hits in the win, led by Josh Richard’s two-hit night.
DESTIN, Fla. (AP) — Former Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett, who also played for New England, Houston and Baltimore during five seasons in the NFL, has died. He was 35.
